Knowing Your Meetings Are Bad Is Not the Same as Fixing Them
Meeting intelligence gives you data: scores, trends, talk balance ratios, decision density. That data is valuable. But knowing that your weekly planning meeting has a low decision density score does not tell you what to do about it.
Smart Meeting Guardrails bridge the gap between measurement and improvement by providing specific, actionable suggestions based on your team's meeting patterns.
What Guardrails Look Like
Guardrails are context-aware nudges generated by Beaver AI after analysing your meeting intelligence data. They are not generic tips — they are specific to your team's patterns:
- "This meeting's talk balance has been dominated by one speaker for three consecutive sessions." Suggestion: Try a round-robin format or ask each participant to prepare a one-minute update.
- "Action items from this recurring meeting have a 30% completion rate." Suggestion: Reduce the number of items assigned per meeting, or review completion at the start of each session.
- "This meeting averages 50 minutes but typically only produces substantive discussion in the last 15." Suggestion: Start with decisions needed, move context-setting to a pre-read document.
- "Four of the last five sessions ended without a clear next step." Suggestion: Reserve the final five minutes for explicit decision and action item review.
How They Are Generated
Guardrails are powered by the same AI that generates meeting scores and highlights. The system looks at your meeting data across multiple sessions, identifies patterns that indicate room for improvement, and generates suggestions that are specific enough to act on.
They are not prescriptive rules — they are recommendations. Your team knows its own context better than any algorithm. The guardrails give you a starting point for improving meeting quality.
When You See Them
Guardrails appear in your Meeting Intelligence dashboard and can be included in weekly digest emails. They are updated as your meeting patterns change — if your action completion rate improves, the guardrail about it disappears and may be replaced by a new one.
