You Can't Read Every Transcript
If your organisation runs 50 meetings a week, that is 50 transcripts, 50 summaries, and hundreds of action items. No one has time to review them all. But somewhere in those meetings, someone mentioned a topic you care about — a client at risk, a compliance concern, a competitive threat.
Meeting alerts solve this by bringing the relevant information to you instead of making you hunt for it.
How Meeting Alerts Work
Beaver AI's alert system is built on the Watchlist feature. You define the terms and topics that matter to you — competitor names, project codes, risk keywords, client names — and the system monitors every meeting transcript across your team.
When a match is found, you receive a notification with:
- The specific meeting and timestamp
- The full surrounding context (not just the keyword)
- A link to the meeting summary for deeper review
Where Alerts Are Delivered
Alerts go where your team already works:
- Email: A digest of watchlist matches delivered to your inbox
- Slack: Real-time notifications in a channel or DM of your choice
This means you do not need to check a dashboard or open Beaver AI to stay informed. The information comes to you.
Examples in Practice
A VP of Sales sets up alerts for the names of their top 10 accounts. When any of those names are mentioned in any meeting — even ones the VP was not in — they get a Slack notification with context.
A compliance officer monitors for terms like "GDPR," "data breach," and "audit." If any team discusses these topics, the compliance officer is notified immediately.
A product manager tracks their feature area across all customer calls. They see every time a customer mentions their product area without having to sit in on sales calls.
Signal, Not Noise
The key to useful alerts is specificity. Broad terms like "update" or "meeting" will generate noise. Specific terms like "Acme Corp," "Series B," or "HIPAA compliance" generate signal. Start narrow and expand as you learn what matters.
